The Vaults is located in the heart of the South End Arts District in Burlington, Vermont. The Vaults is a new building that replaces “3 shaky remnants of a bristle factory enclave” from the early 1900’s associated with the Whiting Brush Fibre company. The new building includes much needed artist rental spaces as well as other types of uses. It is currently owned by the Unsworth family, who are 4th generation owners with a commitment to the arts!
The name “Vaults” comes from a previous property use that stored horse hair for their natural bristle brush business in vault-like storage bays.
