The Prayers Series was inspired by Casey's desire to bring a shift to balance in the complex situation in Iraq. The intention is to convey the feeling of hope and celebration as the Iraqi people take responsibility for their lives, the foreign military presence diminishes, and soldiers return to their families. Casey believes to create a better reality sometimes one must imagine those possibilities into being. These colorful monoprints are one small step in that direction.
